“What I understood about the retreat’s intention was exactly what I had been praying for for years, an opportunity to reconnect with the land where I was born and to do this in community with others who were on their own spiritual journeys. When I learned of the retreat, it was an immediate yes to commit to attend and a very clear sense of being called home to continue the self-healing work I had been doing.
My time on the island was filled with meaningful experiences, the one that was most resounding was having the experience of being reclaimed as a daughter of Pachamama during a heart-opening cacao ceremony. My connection to the earth and the way she sustains me, especially during difficult times, continues to reverberate now that I am back in the states. I am so thankful for the depth of spiritual reconnection to the land that I was able to experience.
The group of empowered and grounded people who assembled for this retreat added to the powerful energy of the island. Chaski led us through an amazing process of setting up our retreat altar and calling in our ancestors to be with us on the island. When I sat at our altar at different points of the week, the vibrations and spiritual accompaniment I felt was awe-inspiring. What a gift to have a felt sense of the care, support, and protection of the ancestors.”
